Timbaseal one component silicone sealant for sealing glazing systems. This product is neutral and almost odourless. After application the silicone cures with atmospheric moisture to form a durable rubber seal.
For use in glazing systems and cap beading and perimeter sealing. Can be used to seal assemblies of glass, glazed surfaces, procelain coated metal, anodised aluminium, finished wood and several plastics. Can be painted with most alkyd resin based paints and varnishes.
Surfaces must be clean, dry and dust free. Ideally the surface should be primed prior to application. Using the Timbabuild 300ml extrusion tool, gun the sealant firmly into joint ensuring no air is trapped behind. If required place masking tape along joint edges, removing within 5 minutes of application. Always work into shape within 5 minutes of application using an appropriate glazing knife.
